Gemotions

The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the park. I sat on the grass, leaning against a large oak tree. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves overhead. A wave of peacefulness washed over me, a sense of belonging in the familiar place.

“Do you remember that camping trip?” I asked, turning to face my friend, Ben.

Ben sighed, a faraway look in his eyes. “Yeah, it was the best trip ever. The stars were incredible, and we roasted the perfect marshmallows.”

I chuckled. “The stars were amazing, yes. But your marshmallows were charred black lumps. You set half the camp on fire.”

Ben looked confused. “I thought it was the most amazing bonfire. And I swear, I remember my marshmallows being perfectly golden brown.”
